Join the SEFAA team! We are a volunteer-driven organization and there are multiple opportunities to pitch in and help – from one-time and short-term commitments to longer-term committee and Board service.

Board of Directors:
Join the SEFAA Board of Directors and use your unique skills, interests, and experiences to help guide SEFAA. Current open positions include Membership Committee Chair, Development Committee Chair, and President Elect. Please email our Board President or complete our Board of Directors Application Form if you are interested in any of these open positions.
Internships:
Students, please email our Executive Director with a description of the type of project or work you are seeking, your availability, and whether you prefer in-person, remote, or hybrid work.
We are currently looking for a Marketing Intern and you can apply for that position directly by filling out our
online application form.
Ambassadors:
Serve as a SEFAA liaison to a member organization, represent SEFAA at events, and help share SEFAA information with your community. Please email our

Education Team:
Anything from planning upcoming classes to assisting an instructor (in-person or virtual) to moderating a Zoom session and everything between that has to do with classes. Please email our Programs Chair for more information.
- The Comfort Crew is a vital part of our Programs Team: Sign up if you have a spare bedroom and bathroom and want to enjoy quality time with an upcoming instructor while earning a little extra cash. As a host, you’ll provide private accommodation, breakfast, and dinner for out-of-town instructors. In return, you’ll receive $50 per day of hosting. When a hosting opportunity arises, we’ll reach out to check your availability, it's that simple!
- Online Moderators represent SEFAA during virtual classes and events – monitoring attendance, allowing entry to the session as needed, helping participants connect, introducing the speaker/instructor and announcing “housekeeping” policies, monitoring the chat, and thanking the speaker/instructor and participants at the end of the session.
Events Team:
Help with event planning or just on the day – greeting attendees, relieving vendors, setup, takedown, providing refreshments and more for our annual Flea Market and Holiday Tea events as well as new events. Please email our SEFAA Center Coordinator for more information.
- Book Club Hosts are in charge of one or more monthly Book Club events, from selecting a book to moderating the online discussion at the meeting.
Stitching Time Hosts welcome attendees and keep the conversation flowing during monthly online gatherings.
Gallery Team:
Help with intake of work, gallery prep, installations and deinstallations, and receptions. We host at least five exhibitions per year at the SEFAA Center and, generally, one remote juried exhibition per year. Please email our SEFAA Center Coordinator for more information.
Retail Team:
Help keep the SEFAA Shop stocked, staged, and staffed. Please email our SEFAA Center Coordinator for more information.
- Pricing and Sorting Team members assist with incoming donations, sorting to categorize items and price those destined from the shop.
Shop Staff work occasional or regular shifts in the shop, assisting customers, making sales, and receiving donations.
Library Team
Help sort, catalog, and label books, and/or help us enhance our online catalog by organizing our collections. Please email our Librarian for more information.
Facilities Team:
If cleaning, re-arranging, repairs, and/or upgrading is your jam, please email our SEFAA Center Coordinator.
Membership Team:
Help engage and cultivate new and existing SEFAA members and support member-only events. Or, work behind-the-scenes managing membership data and reporting. Please email our Membership Committee Chair for more information.
Development Team:
Help raise money to fund programs and operations by supporting online donation campaigns, grant procurement, and fundraising events. Please email our Development Committee Chair for more information.
Tech Team:
Help manage, maintain, and improve our database, website, and ancillary programs and logins. Please email our Board President for more information.
